Non-resident Ambassador Al-Adgham delivers credentials to the Dominican President
A+ A- Politics 30/05/2025 LOC10:17 07:17 GMT KUWAIT, May 30 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait Ambassador to Cuba, the non-resident envoy to the Dominican, Adel Al-Adgham, has delivered his credentials as the Extraordinary, Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Dominican President Luis Abinader. The State of Kuwait Embassy in Cuba said in a statement, copy of which was delivered to KUNA on Friday, that the credentials' delivery ceremonoy was held at the Republican Palace in the capital Santo Domingo -- attended by Foreign Minster Roberto Alvarez. The statement added that Ambassador Al-Adgham conveyed to President Abinader greetings and best wishes from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, addressed to him as well as to friendly people of the Dominican, affirming his keenness on boosting the bilateral relations between the two countries. It indicated that the two sides discussed means of enhancing the bilateral relations in all realms, namely the economic and commercial sectors, and mutual support at the international quarters. 24/05/2025 LOC15:39 12:39 GMT Kuwaiti delegation examines tasks of UAE military service department ABU DHABI, May 24 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti military delegation chaired by Major General Ahmad Al-Shanfa, head of the Kuwaiti National Military Service Department, visited on Saturday headquarters of the UAE National Service and Reserve Authority (NSRA). Kuwait Army Chairmanship of Staff said in a statement that the Kuwaiti delegation met the UAE Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Ahmad bin Tahnoun al-Nahyan. The delegation examined during the visit NSRA's programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing readiness of the UAE cadres in various military sectors. The Kuwaiti officers were apprised of the mechanisms for habilitating the recruited as part of the national service and latest methods for training and upgrading the military cadres' skills. The visitors had also went to NSRA centers to examine the various tasks that constitute some of the basics of the UAE defense system. The statement indicated that the visit aimed at bolstering the bilateral relations and military cooperation, also noting in this respect the necessity to exchange expertise and enhance the joint defense cooperation between the two states' armed forces. 25/05/2025 LOC00:48 21:48 GMT Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi RIYADH, May 24 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, affirmed on Saturday that the 44th anniversary of the founding of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) represents a precious occasion. The minister added, such occasion on which we recall a journey full with ambitious visions and strategic achievements that have strengthened the Council's position as a unified regional organization driven by a spirit of integration and built on a legacy of cohesion and cooperation. This came during a speech delivered by Minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, representing the current GCC Presidency, at the 44th anniversary celebration held at the Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. In his speech, Al-Mutairi conveyed the greetings and congratulations on behalf of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Al-Mutairi noted that the establishment of the Council is the culmination of a strategic vision by the leaders of the GCC states, based on a unified goal and a shared destiny, grounded in the bonds of religion, history, and brotherhood. He added that the Gulf experience has proven that continuous coordination transforms challenges into real opportunities to enhance security, stability, and achieve development. He affirmed Kuwait's commitment to supporting Gulf unity and promoting joint cooperation, based on its belief that solidarity represents the solid foundation for the GCC's strength. The minister emphasized the importance of continuing to build on the foundations laid by the founding leaders and the need to focus on human development, especially youth, through educational and entrepreneurial programs that enable them to play active roles in their societies. 21/05/2025 LOC10:21 07:21 GMT Kuwait Ambassador to the US and CEO and Deputy Chairman of KPC with US Interior Secretary WASHINGTON, May 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to the US Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah and CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah held a meeting with US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, said Kuwait's Embassy. In a statement to KUNA, the embassy affirmed that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen strategic relations between the two countries, including in the energy sector, and the upcoming construction of the Desert Storm and Desert Shield memorial in Washington. The Kuwaiti embassy also said it hosted a roundtable discussion with Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah later today in cooperation with the Washington-based Atlantic Council think tank. Sheikh Nawaf highlighted various topics in the discussions, including solar energy, artificial intelligence, carbon recycling, and Kuwait's growing role in the global energy sector, it added.
